So true. I did the Master Cleanse for 4 days. While I DID feel really good, my breath was rotten and so was my bum. I may try it again in July.

Or are people just really excited to eat by the end of it, so much that liver and onions tastes like filet mignon?
I tried the Master Cleanse and was mainly interested in it for the purpose of self-observation and for the purification experience. It was supposed to last 10 days, but I only managed 7. Throughout the cleanse I felt extremely clear-headed and lucid, so I guess that was a plus. But I wouldn’t say it made me feel better, the only real thing I got out of it was the realization that I do not have to eat anywhere near the amount of food I normally did. I think with good fuel and lots of water, mixed with sleep and some exercise, the body is capable of fixing and cleaning itself of pretty much anything. You don’t need any special newfangled recipes - it’s been designed to clean itself best.
Second chance run, spring of 2009…
I am so far behind in training that I am starting to doubt my normal optimism of any new project. I hate to be a quitter, but I hate doing things half assed even more. I have two weeks to decide if I will “re-commit” to TIT.
If you want a good body, work at it

I sweat walking slow on a medium incline. I am scared for my race with me.
I also need to raise $2000 for Team in Training, a very worthwhile cause.
I am out of shape and this is a huge personal challenge for me.
I know I will complete the race. But I also want to have a decent mix of run/walk and time. I want to run more then I walk. I don’t want to be the retard in the back.
So I am always looking for a way to challenge myself. I am not a runner, but want to be one. I want to challenge myself and do what most would think is an impossible goal for me-a 1/2 marathon.
I am signed up. 103 days to go. I simply want to finish, run at least half of it and not be the last person. That’s it.
